We are proud to be part of The GLA Trust, a multi-academy trust of 11 primary schools in Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.
Previously known as Gloucestershire Learning Alliance, The GLA Trust originally started in 2011 as a group of three Gloucestershire schools working together. Over the last eleven years, the trust has expanded successfully beyond Gloucestershire, hence now known as The GLA Trust.
The creation of The GLA Trust was a natural progression of their belief in a partnership ethos and the determination to ensure that more young people receive an exceptional education through Quality First Teaching.
We work very closely with the schools in our GLA community, creating opportunity for children and sharing expertise. As a trust, we champion over 2,600 children and over 400 teachers, leaders and support staff.
Claire Savory became the CEO of The GLA Trust in September 2023 having previously been the Director of Academies and Head Teacher of one of their founding schools, Rowanfield Junior School.
Claire's decision to apply for the role of the CEO at The GLA was answered by this quotation:
'Look at every path closely. Then ask yourself, and yourself alone the question: does this path have a heart?' Claire's response to this question is 'This pathway for me has a heart - the heart being the children of the GLA'.
